In October 1966 a terrible mining disaster occurred in the Welsh village of Aberfan, killing 116 children and 28 adults. One strange thing that occurred following the disaster were the number of stories that began emerging that several children who were killed along with a number of other adults who should have had no knowledge of the flood, began reporting having psychic premonitions of the disaster before it occurred. This led a British psychiatrist named John Barker to create a premonitions bureau, where he collected stories of psychic visions, in the hope that they could one day use this information to save lives. Throughout the annals of true crime you'll often hear certain murders being described as "The Crime of the Century". Back in 1924, the press dubbed the kidnapping and murder of a 14 year old boy named Bobby Franks with that title. But what was especially unusual about the crime wasn't the murder itself.
