Throughout the Algonquian speaking tribes of Canada there exist legends of a terrifying, cannibalistic creature that stalks the forest. Windigo legends have grown so popular they've even become part of our own modern pop culture in movies, comics and video games. But the history of the winding goes much deeper than that. And it turns out, involves some very real murders.
