A Special Weather Statement is in effect across Connecticut as rain transitions to a wintry mix of snow and sleet this morning. Temperatures have already dropped into the mid-30s, creating slippery conditions for the morning commute. Right now at 5 A.M., we're seeing temperatures around 43 degrees with steady rain falling at a 98 percent chance.
