Good morning. Maine. I'm DJ Huzz. That crisp 19 degrees on the thermometer right now? that's a classic late February bite. but here's the good news. We're in for a mild rebound. In the next 24 hours. Central Connecticut leads the warm-up today with a high of 43 degrees. That's five degrees above normal for late February. Coastal areas reach 41 degrees. Eastern Connecticut tops out at 40 degrees. All under brilliant sunshine. Tonight stays quiet with partly cloudy skies. Lows settle into the mid-20s statewide. Saturday is the pick of your weekend. Central Connecticut could touch 50 degrees. The coast and eastern sections climb to 47. Patchy fog may linger until mid-morning in the valleys, but skies clear quickly. Enjoy it. Because Sunday brings a change. A cold front sweeps through with scattered snow showers between 7 A.M. and early afternoon. Most spots see a coating to an inch. Higher terrain could pick up two to four inches if the moisture materializes. Then the real story arrives. Arctic air plunges in Sunday night. Lows drop into the teens along the coast. Central Connecticut falls to 10 degrees. Eastern areas bottom out at 13. Monday's highs struggle to reach the upper 20s. The five-day outlook shows a roller coaster. Tuesday brings temperatures back into the mid-30s with a chance of rain and snow mixing. Wednesday and Thursday stay unsettled with rain chances and highs in the mid-40s.
