This last Sunday of January we listen to Rebecca, starring Margaret Sullavan, this drama aired on The Campbell Playhouse. The novel Rebecca was written by Daphne du Maurier. This episode aired December 9, 1938.
The Mercury Theatre on the Air changed its name to The Campbell Playhouse. Campbell's Soup became the sponsor after the media and panic reaction to his production of War of The Worlds from the Mercury program.
