Show Notes

Good morning. Colorado. I'm Michael Mosby. Winter just threw one last punch overnight, six-tenths of an inch of snow fell while you slept. And temperatures crashed to 27 degrees. That cold front? Still here, still angry. Step outside right now and those north winds will find every gap in your jacket. Along the Front Range, you're topping out at 34 degrees today with gusts hitting 36 miles an hour. Light snow wraps up by noon, but the wind keeps howling through early afternoon. Down in the Southern Front Range, it's even rawer โ€” 35 degrees with brutal gusts to 40 miles an hour. Snow ends before lunch there too. The Western Slope? You've got the sweet spot today, mostly sunny skies and a high near 51 degrees. Northwest winds still gust to 40 through morning, but you'll take it. As the sun sets. Tonight brings the coldest air of the week. Lows drop to 19 degrees along the Front Range, 12 degrees in the Southern Front Range. And 25 degrees on the Western Slope, cover up if you're heading out. Monday flips the script. Mostly sunny skies push the Front Range to 55 degrees, the Southern Front Range to 50. And the Western Slope to 61, a few mountain snow showers are possible, but nothing serious. Then the real show starts, tuesday jumps to 73 degrees under sunny skies. Wednesday? 81 degrees. Thursday climbs to 85. And Friday holds at 84. That's 20 to 30 degrees above normal, folks, we could challenge March records by week's end. Classic Colorado โ€” dramatic and unapologetic. See you this afternoon.
