Show Notes
Good morning. Colorado. I'm Aaron Jolly.
That light rain overnight left things damp and cool. But step outside this morning and you'll feel it. Winter is taking a break. We're looking at highs 15 to 20 degrees above normal for early March.
In the next 24 hours. The Front Range climbs to 65 degrees today under sunny skies. Southern Front Range hits 61. Over on the Western Slope. Grand Junction reaches 64. All three regions see light winds and plenty of sunshine.
Tonight stays quiet. Lows drop to 37 in Denver, 32 down south. And 36 out west. And here's something special. Look up tonight. We've got a full moon.
Tomorrow starts warm again. Denver hits 68. But changes arrive by late afternoon. A cold front sweeps through Thursday night. That's when rain and snow develop. Friday looks cold and snowy, with highs only in the low 40s. Could see an inch or two along the Front Range. Mountains could pick up half a foot.
Here's your five-day outlook. Today and tomorrow. Unseasonably warm and dry. Then a sharp turn Friday with snow and temperatures 25 degrees colder. The weekend recovers nicely. Saturday and Sunday bring sunshine and highs back in the mid-60s. Monday warms to near 70.
One important note for Thursday. A Fire Weather Watch is in effect for areas east of Denver. Gusty winds and humidity below 15 percent will create critical fire danger. Hold off on any outdoor burning.
