Show Notes

Good morning. Colorado. I'm Michael Nally. In Quick reminder before we dive in, spring forward tonight. Clocks jump ahead one hour for Daylight Saving Time. Step outside right now and you'll feel that crisp 34 degrees. But here's the thing. That chill won't stick around. High pressure slides in today, bringing sunshine and a serious warmup. Downslope flow kicks in, pushing temperatures well above normal. The Front Range climbs to 67 degrees by mid-afternoon. Colorado Springs hits 64. Over on the Western Slope, expect 61 under cloudless skies. Light southwest winds stay gentle, around 5 miles an hour. Perfect weather for getting outside and soaking up that March sunshine. Tonight stays mostly clear. Lows settle into the mid-30s — 36 along the Front Range, 35 near Colorado Springs, 32 on the Western Slope. Monday cranks up the heat even more. The Front Range pushes to 71 degrees. Colorado Springs reaches 72. The Western Slope climbs to 68. Southwest winds pick up slightly, gusting to 20 miles an hour in spots. Here's your heads-up for the week ahead. Tuesday stays warm near 69 degrees, but clouds roll in. A weak system arrives Tuesday night, bringing a chance of rain and snow showers. The Front Range could see a mix after 9 P.M. — about a 30 percent chance. Wednesday cools down post-frontal, with highs dropping to the mid-50s under mostly sunny skies. Thursday through the weekend? Warmth roars back. Expect highs climbing into the upper 60s and low 70s. Breezy afternoons become the norm, with gusts approaching 25 miles an hour. Fire weather concerns increase late week as dry conditions and gusty winds combine. Enjoy the sunshine today — it's a beauty. See you this afternoon.
