Show Notes
Good morning. Colorado. I'm Aaron Jolly.
Step outside and you'll feel it. That's not just overcast — that's snow already spreading from the high country down to your doorstep.
Along the Front Range, it's coming down now. Here comes 3 to 5 inches by this afternoon, with north winds gusting to 24 miles an hour. Highs only hit 35 degrees. Tonight drops to 22 degrees, with light snow lingering until around 11 P.M. Morning and evening commutes? Plan on snow-packed roads and slower going.
Head south to Colorado Springs and Pueblo. Snow showers this morning turn heavier this afternoon — some areas could see thundersnow. Accumulations of 1 to 2 inches, with a high near 37 degrees. Tonight falls to 18 degrees as snow tapers off.
Out on the Western Slope, you're catching a break. A chance of snow showers this morning, then a mix of rain and snow. High near 48 degrees. Tonight drops to 26 degrees with partly cloudy skies.
Now here's the good news. Saturday brings sunshine and a rebound — highs near 52 degrees along the Front Range, 50 degrees to the south. And 54 degrees out west. Sunday warms even more, climbing into the mid 60s statewide. Early next week? Beautiful. Monday and Tuesday see highs in the upper 60s to low 70s with plenty of sunshine. Perfect weather for getting outside. Wednesday cools slightly behind a dry cold front, but we're still looking at highs in the low 60s.
Spring is just 14 days away. And we're gaining 2 minutes and 36 seconds of daylight each day. Enjoy the quiet after today's snow clears out.
See you tomorrow.
