Ep 4343: Connecting to your Authentic Self and Integrated Intelligence with Dr. Marcus Anthony
In this episode of the Conscious Fertility Podcast, Dr. Marcus Anthony speaks about his research on integrated intelligence, which is the idea that human consciousness is embedded within layers of intelligence that transcend the local mind. He explains that this form of intelligence involves the synchronization of the mind through mirror neurons, connecting us to each other, the environment, and spiritual realms. Dr. Anthony describes how this connection can be accessed through non-ordinary states of consciousness, such as dreams and meditative states, and can potentially change the way we think about intelligence. Dr. Anthony explains the concept of psychoneuroimmunology, which is the idea that one's thoughts and feelings can impact their nervous, hormonal and immune systems. He shares examples of how this can manifest in fertility and pregnancy, and how integrated intelligence can be used to positively impact these areas. The discussion explores the idea of knowledge, intuition, and synchronicity as part of an integrated intelligence, and the potential power and limitations of these concepts in understanding oneself and the world. Dr. Anthony shares a personal experience of how synchronicity had helped him to understand a difficult relationship with his mother, and suggests that it can be a powerful tool, though it should not be relied upon as the primary source of understanding. The conversation delves into the idea of integrated intelligence as a form of enhanced intelligence that connects us to realms of understanding that are difficult to access through traditional means. It explores the practical applications of this concept in areas like fertility and pregnancy, as well as its potential to change the way we think about intelligence and our relationship with the world around us. 31: The Mechanics of Men’s Health with Dr. Paul Turek
Male fertility is like an old car. If you take care of it and let it run how it wants, it should work all the time. But like all health sciences, there are exceptions to this rule and sometimes we need to take a different approach. Dr. Paul Turek is joining me today from a vintage car mechanic shop to teach us how men can optimize their sperm quality and what factors affect it the most. Dr. Turek, the founder and director of The Turek Clinic and the inventor of sperm mapping, knows how to get to the bottom of male infertility to get men back on the road and running like new. He says, “My approach to the treatment of male sexual health issues is similar to a vintage Ferarri: If you take the time to straighten out all of the kinks, it will run hard and fast.” It really can be this simple, but if it turns out there are deeper underlying issues, Dr. Turek knows where to look with a method he invented called sperm mapping. It can not only give a bigger picture of male fertility but also detect other underlying health issues earlier than normal fertility testing. Join us to learn why sperm is certainly 50% of the equation when it comes to conception, and what tools are available to improve male fertility. Because it’s not just a fertility play, it’s a men’s health play. Key Topics/Takeaways Fertility is a team sport [3:53] Sperm epigenetics and its contribution to fertility outcomes [5:44] Semen analysis does not make the man, the man makes the semen analysis [8:18] Looking beyond the semen analysis to optimize sperm quality [10:51] Male infertility is a canary in the coal mine of his health [15:38] Developing an artificial testicle for stem cells [21:16] What sperm mapping tells us about testicular health [25:12] Noninvasive ways to improve male fertility [31:46] It’s a men’s health play, not just a fertility play [32:48] About Dr. Paul Turek Dr. Paul Turek is the world’s leading innovator in male reproductive health. Dr. Turek is the founder and director of The Turek Clinic. The practices are “clinical homes for men,” designed to provide state-of-the-art medical treatment to men across the globe. Dr. Turek is a leader in his field. A past president of the American Society of Andrology, he is a recipient of a prestigious National Institutes of Health (NIH) grant for research designed to help infertile men become fathers and has published some of the highest success rates worldwide for vasectomy reversals. Ep 2929: Achieve Extraordinary Things with Christina Grote
Under the right circumstances, you could achieve what you perceive is impossible. The ego is a tricky thing. It has the potential to warp your perception and confine you to a reality that negates the good and enhances the bad. Everyone wants change, but it must start from within. Today’s guest is Christina Grote, co-author of Living an Extraordinary Life. She is a board member of ITP International, where she teaches you how to create the conditions for your body to do what it was meant to do. Integral Transformative Practice is a comprehensive therapy that incorporates the body, mind, heart, and soul. In this episode, Christina teaches the fundamental principles of ITP, so you can set the stage for your natural abilities to arise. By doing the inner work and embracing the power of surrender, you can only achieve extraordinary things. Your ego may insist that it knows the how and the when, but your body is in continual reciprocity with the universe, a wisdom that is beyond what you can define. Christina details how her experiences with surrender brought her peace, enabled her to access a new reality, and ultimately changed her inner spirit. A life-long interest in natural healing prompted her to become a licensed massage therapist in Ohio in 1988, practicing many types of body and energy work and the therapeutic use of sound, music, and color. Ep 1616: Everything Starts with Consciousness with Dr. Dean Radin
For decades, scientists have been trying to explain and observe consciousness in all forms. Previously denied by psychologists, it has now become a question of “why” rather than “if” we have it. Meet Dean Radin, MS, PhD, the Chief Scientist at the Institute of Noetic Sciences (IONS), who has researched, written books, and spoken internationally about how consciousness is a fundamental part of the human experience. His research shows that it plays a much larger role in our understanding of the world more than previously thought. While philosophers might say that consciousness “just is”, scientists like Radin are looking for tangible answers to why things like affirmations, manifesting, and spontaneous healing might be very real for some people. Radin doesn’t have all the answers yet, but he offers a fascinating perspective on how our manifestations, meditations, and other conscious practices might be having a real impact on our physical world. Key Topics/Takeaways: - The world we don’t see outside of our senses [3:36] - Finding the language of consciousness [6:00] - ”The Hard Problem” of conscious studies [10:01] - There are many things that do not have a good explanation for and that are real [15:09] - The science behind manifesting [16:38] - Non-locality in the physical world [23:24] - Do “magical methods” work? Ep 1515: Biological Reset for Healing with John Kruth
People find healing in different ways. It’s more than just a physical process, and science is beginning to back this up. John G. Kruth is one of the scientists who has dedicated his life to trying to explain the unexplainable. When people claim to be clairvoyant, psychic, telepathic or have any other abilities that can’t be easily explained with science, John and his research team are there to study it. In this episode, John teaches us how he and his team test different parapsychological phenomena that aren’t easily explainable by current scientific studies. He makes the connection between bioenergy and consciousness to help explain why our thoughts might create our reality more than previously believed. Based on his research, it seems that it is, in fact, possible to jump the timeline and create healing for ourselves in ways that would normally be considered impossible, or even miraculous. Key Topics/Takeaways: - The different types of healing [2:12] - The 5 phenomena of parapsychology [5:49] - Being open-minded about people’s experiences [11:23] - Studying the human biofield [13:41] - Testing healing with light [21:08] - How we unconsciously block healing [26:59] - Defining consciousness vs. Consciousness [35:32] - Miraculous healing [43:04] - Quantum healing and biological upgrades [46:40] Where To Find John: https://www.rhine.org/ John G. Kruth is the Executive Director of the Rhine Research Center and the founder of the Rhine Education Center. He has been studying parapsychology informally for over 35 years and has been a formal member of the Rhine research team since 2009. His research has included studies related to energetic healing methods, bioenergy signatures, out-of-body experiences, qualitative case studies, mind-matter interaction, and poltergeist phenomena. He is a business leader, an educator, and a parapsychologist. Ep 1414: How to Unblock Stuck Energy with Dr. Yvonne Farrell
What does it mean to be fertile? When we look at it from the perspective of Chinese medicine, it’s more than just the ability to create a human life. Fertility is creativity, ideas, art, creation, and more. When we have unresolved emotions or traumas, our creative energy can become blocked, unable to move forward with the natural flow of life. This week, I’m speaking with Dr. Yvonne Farrell, a Chinese medicine expert, acupuncturist, author, and international speaker, to teach us how becoming just a little more conscious in our everyday life opens us up to thriving instead of just surviving. She shares how she uses acupuncture in her practice to help people move blocked energy and emotions through the body to find healing and realign their minds, bodies, and spirits. When we become just a little more conscious, heal trauma, and simply breathe, we open the door to the possibility of healing and allowing creative flow back into our lives. Key Topics/Takeaways: -The connection between fertility, creativity, and consciousness [1:51] -How we experience trauma differently [8:32] -Surviving is not thriving [16:28] -Acupuncture as a way to move energy through the body [25:15] -How you manage your heart, spirit, and emotions [28:00] -How our emotions are our # 1 cause of the disease process [32:00] -Opening the door to the possibility of change [36:53] -How to unblock stuck energy [43:10] -Getting your mind in a receptive place for change [49:28] -Your mindset determines your healing journey [45:15] Where To Find Yvonne: https://healthyseminars.com/bio/yvonne-farrell Buy Yvonne’s Books: https://www.amazon.com/Psycho-Emotional-Pain-Eight-Extraordinary-Vessels/dp/1848192924 https://www.amazon.com/Acupuncture-Surviving-Adversity-Acts-Self-preservation/dp/1787753840 Dr. Farrell has been practicing and teaching Chinese Medicine and Channel Theory since 1996. She directs her teaching towards the empowerment of students with the hope that they will embody the spiritual aspects of Chinese Medicine and make them their own. Dr. Farrell believes that self-cultivation, self-knowledge and critical thinking are essential in developing capacity as a practitioner of Chinese Medicine. To that end, she teaches dynamic, informative and thought-provoking live CEU courses and webinars through LA Herbs and Acupuncture and Healthy Seminars. Yvonne earned her doctoral degree in 2007. Ep 1010: You Deserve to Have it All with Gila Golub
This week, I’m pleased to be talking with my own consciousness teacher, Gila Golub, who helped me with my wake-up call back in 2014 and her teachings have influenced my conscious work practice that I offer in my clinical practice. Gila was drawn to consciousness work when she realized she was replicating old childhood wounds in her present life and relationships. After years of working with other teachers, she learned a lot about herself and how her early childhood experiences molded her perceptions of the world and was able to heal. Now, people seek her out for guidance after their own wake-up calls for change. Ep 909: Speaking to Your Subconscious Mind Through Lucid Dreaming with Robert Waggoner
Lucid dreaming is one of life’s mysteries that we have slowly been unraveling over the past several decades. It wasn’t until the 1980’s that we had scientific evidence that it was even possible, despite people having this ability for as long as humans have been around. Now, we’re able to point to lucid dreaming as a way to not only access the subconscious mind, but bring it into the conscious, and even change our waking reality. Robert Waggoner has been lucid dreaming since before there was evidence of it. In his book, Lucid Dreaming: Gateway to the Inner Self, he writes about how lucid dreaming can be another gateway to tap into consciousness and find peace of mind. In this episode, he talks about how lucid dreaming can be used for creativity, physical and mental healing, learning ourselves more deeply, and even manifesting our deepest desires. He explains how this could be applied to the fertility journey as a way to improve our physical and mental health and do inner healing that can be reflected into our outer world. If you’ve ever been curious about lucid dreaming or want to try it yourself, hearing Robert’s experiences and guidance in this episode is the perfect place to start. Key Topics/Takeaways: Robert’s introduction to lucid dreaming as a child [1:50] Why lucid dreaming isn’t just for entertainment [6:23] The awareness behind the dream [13:05] Dreams as a communication pathway with your unborn child [19:25] Surrendering to lucid dreams [23:47] How Robert’s view of the world has changed since lucid dreaming [28:42] Manifesting physical healing in dreams [31:28] Preparing yourself for lucid dreaming [37:01] Speaking to your unconscious mind [39:33] Manifesting your desires with neutral beliefs [43:59] About Robert Waggoner: Robert Waggoner wrote the acclaimed book, Lucid Dreaming – Gateway to the Inner Self, and co-authored Lucid Dreaming Plain and Simple with Caroline McCready.A past President of the International Association for the Study of Dreams (IASD), Waggoner serves as co-editor of the online magazine, The Lucid Dreaming Experience, the only ongoing publication devoted specifically to lucid dreaming. A lucid dreamer since 1975, he has logged more than 1,000 lucid dreams. Ep 707: Training for the Fertility Marathon with Dr. Beth Taylor
When it comes to the fertility journey, it’s more like a marathon than a sprint. And just like a marathon requires weeks and months of training to run a good race, creating healthy embryos requires preconception training, too. Our goal is not just for you to start the race but to cross the fertility finish line with a baby in your arms. With patience, testing, and the right treatments, you can greatly increase your chances of having a healthy baby. In this episode, I get more technical with Dr. Beth Taylor from Olive Fertility Centre to talk about the different fertility tests and screenings IVF clinics can provide to assess the quality of your embryos as well as your uterine receptivity (any risk of implantation failure) in order to increase the chances of positive pregnancy and live birth. IVF treatments have come a long way in the past couple of decades, and it’s important that we educate those on the fertility journey about everything we can offer to give them the best chance of a positive outcome. We know you want the best for your family and to be made aware of the testing and treatments available to you, so please join us to learn about your options and why preimplantation genetic testing and uterine biopsies might be a choice for you to help grow your family. Ep 606: Harnessing the Power of Your Brain with Dr. Jill Bolte Taylor
What if you could tap into the power of your entire brain to experience true peace and the present moment? This is the exact phenomenon that Dr. Jill Bolte Taylor has been studying since she experienced a stroke in 1996 that changed her whole perception of reality. In this episode, we explore the idea that our brains have 4 characters that serve different essential functions to make up who we are and how we experience the world. We discuss each character, how to tap into different parts of our minds, and how we can use this in the fertility journey and parenting. Dr. Taylor’s experience changed everything she knows about the brain and our human consciousness. It’s an honor to get to bring her on the podcast to share her experience, discuss her incredible knowledge of the brain, and understand better how we can use this in the conscious fertility journey. Key Topics/Takeaways: Dr. Taylor’s experience with her stroke and how it changed her brain [4:15] Where consciousness begins and ends in the brain [7:06] The core functions of our four brain hemispheres [11:39] Bringing together the four hemispheres for a brain huddle [15:41] Using the brain huddle to surrender to the present moment [22:54] Dr. Taylor’s experience of Nirvana after the stroke [31:37] Conscious work to invoke quantum healing in our bodies [35:06] Generational differences in consciousness [43:59] The power to choose moment by moment [56:12] About Dr. Jill Bolte Taylor Dr. Jill Bolte Taylor is a Harvard-trained and published neuroanatomist.
