We have always been told that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Let’s ask ourselves why! #1 Our Moms always told us that we need to eat breakfast because we need our energy for the day. Well let’s challenge your belief system right now.
Let’s break the word breakfast in half.
Break Fast
Most people that are eating breakfast have for sure not broken their fast and therefore what your mother told you is wrong. Your body is still in the process of breaking down the food or fuel from yesterday and you have plenty of stored energy available. All you are doing is spiking your insulin, decreasing your growth hormone with the risk of the whole meal being stored as fat for later use as fuel.
