There are three main hormones you need to really think about and work to regulate when you are working to burn fat and also gain more muscle. These three hormones are Insulin, Growth Hormone, and Cortisol:
Insulin: Used to help the body regulate blood sugar levels and transport the non-essential nutrient carbohydrates.
GH or Growth Hormone: #1 Fat Burning and Muscle building Hormone
Cortisol: Stress Hormone
Lets start with insulin, when insulin is spiked in the body or is high, your number one fat burning hormone GH goes down. When your body is over stressed with too much carbohydrates and insulin is high, cortisol levels can go up. Insulin is the dominate hormone in the body Growth Hormone is super critical to help build muscle and burn fat but in the presence of insulin growth hormone goes down.
Cortisol: The stress hormone, when this hormone is high the body will really struggle to burn fat. Now that we know about these three critical hormones, how do we work to regulate them?
