In Gulliver’s Travels, Gulliver was held captive by the people of Lilliput before he reached an agreement with the King where he would be permitted to roam free as long as he didn’t hurt the small people of the Island. Dave is at IPCPR so today we come at you live on tape. We take a look at the 2019 IPCPR and go over a list of cigars that will make their debit at last IPCPR trade show in Las Vegas as next year it gets rebranded as the Premium Cigar Association. As we look over a list of 45 manufactures and well over 100 new cigars we fire up the Plasencia Alma de Campo which was part of The Cigar Authority Care Package. You see stems are an integral part of the blend as they add flavor and strength to the cigar. We light up El Tallo which has 100% of it’s fillers made from stems. We will break down the cigar and show you what the inside looks like and share our thoughts on this stick. If you have to sum up this week in one word it’s Explosive. First we will start with the one that was planned. Since 2006 David Garofalo has released a cigar called The Firecracker. It’s a limited edition stick that comes out at least once a year. This year, that honor was bestowed to Kristoff cigars and we fire up the Pistoff Kristoff Firecracker in the first hour. We will catch up with New England sales representative John Fazzi and find out what new with the company owned by Glen Case. In the second hour we will discuss the other explosive news of the week as Barry broke the story about IPCPR becoming the Premium Cigar Association (PCA). He got wind of the news from his well placed sources and with a little investigative journalism he reveal the name change and the new logo. We have thoughts on wether this is good for the industry or bad for the industry as we all weigh in on what could be the beginning of the end for the most well know cigar show in the world.
