The Church Politics Podcast is hosted by former Obama White House staffer Michael Wear and AND Campaign co-founder Justin Giboney. These two seasoned politicos will analyze political events and policy based on their Christian values and their experience in the civic arena. The podcast will provide guidance to Christians seeking to transcend partisanship and political ideology and find discipleship in the public square. It will also include interviews with a diverse group of public figures, music and more.

On this episode, 

Michael interviews Errin Haines Whack, the AP’s National Writer on Race and Ethnicity. They discuss the legacy of civil rights leader Dorothy Cotton, as well as the Supreme Court’s recent ruling on voting rights and the Trump Administration’s family separation policy. They also discuss Whack’s recent article on the importance of black female voters as a political force. The episode concludes with a conversation about what it is like to be a journalist in this time writing about such important issues.
