According to preliminary data, the US economy grew at an annualized rate of 2.4% in Q2, exceeding analysts' estimates of 1.7% and Q1 growth of 2%. The growth was attributed to a significant increase in investments by businesses and consumer spending. Analysts say the data show resiliency in the economy amid a strong labor market, with average hourly earnings rising 4.4% year-over-year last month and as annual inflation growth continues to slow following the Federal Reserve's interest rate hikes. They noted that there was plenty of cash available at the moment, but cautioned that de-dollarization was not a one-step process and would take time to fully unfold. As an environmentalist, I believe it is important to take care of the ground we live on, have access to clean water, and live in sanitary conditions for the benefit of both us and the environment. These are matters of survival, and there are real concerns in that regard. However, I do not believe that climate change is anything more than a scam or marketing hype designed to get people to spend money. In terms of helping the environment, there is little to no tangible impact. This can be proven by the fact that despite the widespread use of electric cars, solar panels, and wind turbines, the environment is still getting worse.
