The Cantore Show: Boochcraft
Boochcraft was founded by three friends from Ocean Beach, San Diego. They sought out to create a hard kombucha that tasted great, inspired connection, and was based in quality. Seeing the need for an alcoholic beverage with integrity, they created a craft brew you could not only enjoy, but also feel good about drinking. The Cantore Show talks to co-founder Adam Hiner who has been brewing regular kombucha for over a decade and began brewing for retail sale at his own restaurant in 2011. His restaurant, Local Habit, was the first restaurant in San Diego to offer kombucha on tap.

EMike McGill is one of the great legends of skateboarding today. Best known for inventing the trick entitled the "McTwist", an inverted 540 degree mute grab aerial, McGill grew up in New York, then moved to Florida at the age of 10. Venturing west in the mid-80s to join Bones Brigade, the Encinitas resident has owned and operated McGill's Skateshop since 1987. This weekend, McGill will barge in on a session with his long time friends and teammates at the Clash at Clairemont, a cooperative effort between Pro Skateboarder Andy Macdonald, the YMCA, and Grind for Life. In this episode of Talking Story, Cantore talks to McGill and the founder of Grind for Life, life-long skateboarder Mike Rogers, a two-time cancer survivor. Grind for Life provides financial assistance to cancer patients and their families when traveling long distances to doctors and hospitals. Since June 9, 2016, California's End of Life Option Act has made it easier for people with terminal illnesses to choose when they want to die, but, needless to say, it remains a controversial subject for many families, friends and medical providers. That being said, Dr. Bob's primary goal is to make people more comfortable with the concept of dying.
