#ENDSARS The past week, the Nigerian youth have been protesting against the Special Anti-Robbery Squad. A branch of the police created to tackle the problem of armed robbery in Nigeria, instead these officers have been extorting, harassing and killing innocent civilians because of the phone they have, the laptop they own and the car they drive. These protests have spread across most states in Nigeria, asking our elected officials for accountability. While these protests started off aiming for the disbandment of SARS, it it so much deeper and bigger than that. The bad governance and oppression of this country must end and this will be the generation to do so.
