But Charlie asks: What's the plan? Once McCarthy is gone, who replaces him? And what are the odds that Republicans get a disastrous outcome, like a lengthy power vacuum or, worse yet, a Speaker chosen by the Democrats? It's easy to say "burn it all down" — but what happens afterwards when we have to live in the ashes?
