As much as one-third of Congress did debate while in high school. Competitive debate is how future leaders are learning rhetoric and how to engage with issues. So it matters a lot that today's debate judges are promoting open racial discrimination, restrictions on free speech, and even the doxing of competitors' tweets and Facebook posts. Incubate Debate founder James Fishback joins Andrew to talk about the disastrous decline of high school debate, and the prospects for revitalizing it with a new alternative to the rotten national organization.
