Sunday Gospel Reflection with Deacon Randy Kiel
Randy Kiel reflects on the readings for the Third Sunday of Lent, focusing on the dramatic moment in Book of Exodus when God provides water from the rock in the desert.
Deacon Kiel highlights how the Israelites’ struggles remind us that following God’s will does not remove hardship. Instead, trials often reveal God’s presence more deeply. The rock struck by Moses becomes a powerful biblical image pointing toward Christ, from whom living water flows for the salvation of the world.
Generational Sin & Spiritual Warfare with Dr. Dan Schneider
Dan Schneider joins the show to discuss his new book The Sins of the Father: A Catholic and Biblical Approach to Generational Curses, published by TAN Books.
Drawing on his decades of experience working in deliverance ministry, Schneider explains the Catholic understanding of generational sin, how it differs from popular misconceptions about “family curses,” and why the sacramental life of the Church is the Christian’s strongest defense against spiritual evil.
He also discusses his work with the Holy League Institute, which provides formation and catechesis for Catholics seeking deeper understanding of spiritual warfare and the life of grace.
Lenten Reflection on the Human Heart with David DeLeo
David DeLeo continues his Lenten reflection series on the theology of the human heart.
Drawing heavily on the insights of Augustine of Hippo, DeLeo explores the idea that the heart is not merely emotional but the deepest center of human decision, commitment, and love.
He discusses Augustine’s famous insight that our hearts are restless until they rest in God and explains how the ordering—or disordering—of our loves ultimately reveals our virtue or vice.
DeLeo serves as president of the Image and Likeness, which offers spiritual formation and healing ministries including their “Broken and Beloved” outreach for women seeking healing and restoration.
