Democrats got exactly what they wanted from the averted shutdown at the expense of the American taxpayer. Even when Democrats lose elections they win political battles by staying on offense. As a result, all of Biden’s spending priorities remain intact with the exception of Ukraine aid leading up to the November deadline.
