On the other hand, CBDCs allow big govt to track and control every penny you earn, save and spend. They’re also a powerful tool for politicians to take and redistribute your hard earned paycheck as they see fit. CBDCs allow centralized govt controlled banks to impose negative interest rates where you essentially pay the bank for holding your money! Not to mention, CBDCs have an expiration date and enable ESG scores to be imposed on you if you don’t bow down to Uncle Sam.
