Fajgenbaum, an immunologist and an assistant professor at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania, co-founded the Castleman Disease Collaborative Network while urgently searching for a cure to a disease from which he was dying. They also discuss Fajgenbaum's memoir, Chasing My Cure: A Doctor's Race to Turn Hope Into Action (New York: Ballentine Books, 2019).
