Everyone knows what the golden rule is. Treat others how you want to be treated right? The actual origin I believe is “Do unto others as you would have others do unto you.” Meaning… Act the way you want others to act toward you… right? So… I don’t want a christmas gift, so I’m not buying you one. Or I don’t want you at my wedding, so I’m not going to yours. Or I don’t want you to talk to me, so I’m not going to talk to you. Or I’m not going to your birthday party, so I don’t want you at mine. Is this not the golden rule? Just one of the many thoughts I have about things.
