More young people, and more women, invested in the stock market for the first time in the last two years.
This year’s annual Investor Study from the Australian Stock Exchange revealed that 23% of investors got involved in just the last two years - and a quarter of those new investors were aged 18-24. Chenny Wulandari is a 29-year-old who has become an investor for the first time. Scott Phillips is Chief Investment Officer for Motley Fool Australia.
