Show Notes

Three of Singapore’s most senior government officials wrote an article in the national newspaper, the Straits Times, to say the island nation was considering major changes to how it deals with Covid-19.

They suggested it was time to start “living with Covid”, and it was time to stop reporting daily cases, to get back to going to major events – and basically to treat Covid-19 like any other flu.   Chris Barrett is the South-East Asia correspondent for the Sydney Morning Herald and The Age.  He’s watched developments unfold while based in Singapore.

What can Australia learn from Singapore’s move to re-think Covid?  And how close is the world to living with the reality that Covid-19 is not going away soon?
