Queensland has announced plans banning smartphones in state schools from next year bringing them into line with the rest of the country except ACT.

While it seems like a no-brainer given how distracting and harmful smartphones can be to kids and teens, we get the full story with child psychologist Michael-Carr Gregg and Dr Jason Zagami, a senior lecturer at the School of Education and Professional Studies at Griffith University.
