28: Conservatives Concerned About the Death Penalty with Hannah Cox
On today's episode of The Brian Nichols Show, I am joined by the National Manager of Conservatives Concerned About the Death Penalty, Hannah Cox! Conservatives Concerned About the Death Penalty (CCATDP) is a nationwide group of conservatives questioning whether capital punishment is consistent with conservative principles and values due to the system’s inefficiency, inequity, and inaccuracy. Conservatives Concerned About the Death Penalty is a project of Equal Justice USA, a national, non-partisan, grassroots organization working to transform the justice system by promoting responses to violence that break cycles of trauma. “Conservative Republicans and Libertarians are increasingly looking at the facts and deciding that the death penalty must be ended,” says Hannah. "This is especially true for younger voters on the right who are often leading the way on criminal justice reform as we become increasingly aware of the risks of executing innocent people and the opportunity costs involved with this wasteful system.” To learn more about CCATDP, go to www.conservativesconcerned.org.
