The week began with a striking drop in the stock market, with Monday marking Wall Street's worst day in years. Some believe the selloffs are due to growing concerns over the Trump Administration's tariff plan — which they believe could lead to an international trade war and ultimately, a recession. President Trump, however, has voiced his confidence that this plan will leave the country in a richer, more independent place.
