Show Notes

Following major discoveries of shale gas reserves in the US, it is estimated that natural gas will overtake coal and become the second most widely used source of energy by 2025. Shell worldwide is also expected to produce more gas than oil this year. This is said to be to be the golden age for gas. But there are environmental concerns, for example, France has banned fracking, an activity in shale gas exploration. Dick Benschop, the President-Director of Shell Netherlands and Vice President of Gas Market Development addresses these issues.
