Jom Makan owns two restaurants in London - Trafalgar Square and Westfields Mall. It was initially funded by the government under the Malaysia Kitchen Programme, and was 100% owned by Permodalan Nasional Berhad group of investee companies (PNS). Now, it is 55% owned by Mohd Zuhri Abdullah, the MD, and 45% ownes by PNS. Companies interested in getting funding to start a Malaysian food restaurant overseas, can apply through Exim Bank to get funding from the Malaysia Kitchen Programme, according to Zuhri.
