Today on @TheBreakdown I want to give you two very important updates on the brutal police execution of Amir Locke and I want to explain why I still believe a total ban on no-knock raids, which are banned in almost every developed nation in the world, still makes a difference here.
I see a lot of people saying they don't care if no-knock raids are banned or not because police will still be brutal. I understand that level of frustration. No single solution to police violence will solve the WHOLE problem, but it can solve SOME of the problem. Without no-knock raids, Breonna Taylor would still be alive today. And Amir Locke would as well.
We can't reject some fundamental solutions because they aren't all-encompassing. Do I want to solve the whole damn problem? OF COURSE I DO, but the whole problem gets solved policy by policy, position by position.
