Does a greater GDP also have to increase our greenhouse gas emissions? Our guest Dr. Mukund Rajan does not think so. As we go up the scale to reach greater heights in terms of production, our environment is slowly deteriorating creating an even bigger issue for our progeny. Large corporations have produced the greatest amounts of carbon emissions making India the third-largest producer of greenhouse gases after China and the USA.
So how do we manage our carbon footprint? Dr. Mukund has very interesting solutions in which that can be achieved. With a successful career of 23 years at the Tata Group, including the Chair of Tata Global Sustainability Council, he has now founded his company ECube Investment Advisors that helps catalyze Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) related changes in Corporate India.
