Sermon: The Carmen Christi

Sermon: The Carmen Christi

Based on what is likely one of the earliest hymns created by and sung by the First Century Church, the Apostle Paul gives us a magnificent poem in Philippians chapter 2 verses 6 through 11. Paul uses this most poignant passage regarding the incarnation of God in the man Jesus Christ to encourage us to be more like Christ in humility and love. This poem/hymn in Philippian 2:6-11 is often called "The Carmen Christi," from the Latin phrase meaning "the song of Christ." Note: This teaching was recorded on 9-12-2021. Also, there are a few points where the recording cuts out.
