The UK is one of the most secretive countries in the world when it comes to its Intelligence and Security apparatus. Indeed, until 1997 the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) didn't officially exist!
American listeners will surely be intrigued to know that the average British citizen knows more about the FBI and CIA than they due about their own agencies. Moreover, most Brits were not aware of the secret nature of Scotland Yard's Special Branch or its present-day rump quasi successor, S015 the Counter Terrorism Command.
