We kick off our Exodus series in chapter 1: Israel multiplies in Egypt, a “new king” turns favor into oppression, and the Hebrews build store cities (not pyramids). We trace how Moses’ story points forward to Jesus (John 5:46–47; Luke 24:27) and dig into on-the-ground evidence from Pithom/Avaris—grain silos, infant burials, and why “store cities” fit the New Kingdom war machine.
