Paul wants believers to have prophecy rather than tongues:
- There are 2 types of tongue gifts - personal and interpersonal
- Tongues are edifying for one's own devotion
- The Word of God must be understood to be believed
- Tongues are not understood without an interpreter, so they are not useful in church if there's no interpreter
- Prophecy is a more unifying gift
