This is part of a video series covering the entire Bible in 4 years, one chapter at a time. Start at the beginning with Genesis 1 (Youtube link: https://youtu.be/wC2qD4RGOdo) and work through the playlist. Or go to https://www.peace.org.au/bible.html to select any specific Bible chapter, or for more information. In this video listen to Psalms 79 read by David Alley, followed by comments and prayer. In Psalms 79 is the funeral for a nation psalm - a later Asaphite psalm written at the time of exile. This psalm mourns why Jerusalme is destroyed and is read every 9th of Av by Jews in commemoration. There are spiritual realities that describe the church today from this psalm. Not only was God’s city and temple destroyed then…. But they are attacked today. This calls for the soft hearts of God’s people.
