In this video listen to Psalms 66 read by David Alley, followed by comments and prayer. In Psalms 66 the psalmist calls the earth to praise the Lord with joy… and the earth is the nations, meaning the gentile peoples. Why would a Jew call the Gentiles to praise the Lord…. because this psalm is about the Lord’s deliverance of Jerusalem and the defeat of Sennacherib and the Assyrian army. The whole world was blessed by this event, not just the citizens of Jerusalem.
