In Psalms 51 we have the most famous of the penitential psalms - when David repented for his terrible sin involving Bath-sheba and the coverup with murdered many people. This psalm is a window into how the ancient world worked, and a very unique look at how true repentance should happen. We also briefly consider temptation.
