In Esther 4 we discuss the timing of the book of Esther…. Where the main story takes place five years after she becomes Queen. Why was that five years important?
You can find Christ in every book of the Bible. But where in the book of Esther is Christ? Firstly, Esther is a picture of Christ - she risks her life, that is she is willing to give up her life, to save her people. Mordecai is a picture of the Holy Spirit who guides the believer to a life of service, and in this case was with Christ.
Esther is also a picture of God’s bride, us, who is courageous, beautiful and willing to serve the King and her people. Vashti was courageous for her own dignity, but Esther was courageous for the dignity of others.
