In this video listen to 1 Chronicles Chapter 14, read by David Alley, followed by comments and prayer.
In 1 Chronicles 14 we see an example of the theology of grace. This chapter follows right after David’s failure to bring up the ark, and outlines all his successes with God’s help. God is with David, despite his weakness and assumptions. We discuss the meaning of this, especially given that the stories were told out of chronological order, it seems with this theology in mind.
This chapter will also discuss David’s sons, and why Solomon is listed down so far. And we will also discuss the attack of the Philistines against David. Why did they wait so long to attack him? Why didn’t htye attack when he was king of Judah only, and his army was much smaller?
We will explain how even in this chapter we see an image of Christ.
