<p>On November 4, 2025, the Roman Catholic Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith issued a document titled Mater Populi Fidelis (MPF, Latin for “Mother of the Faithful People”). Signed by Pope Leo XIV, its primary purpose is indicated in Paragraph 22: Roman Catholics are no longer to refer to Mary as the Co-Redemptrix.</p><p><br></p><p>This is a step in the right direction, but the title “Mother of the Faithful” alone indicates that this document is not Biblical. The Bible only knows one mother of all believers: “…Jerusalem which is above…is the mother of us all” (Galatians 4:26). Additionally, MPF favorably cites dozens of documents from the Magisterium that allege dozens of unbiblical doctrines regarding Mary. The meaning of MPF is also still a matter of debate within the Catholic Church.</p>

<p>For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.</p><p>—Galatians 3:27-28</p><p><br></p><p>The call to Jesus Christ as the only savior of mankind is universal: “…God our Saviour…will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; Who gave himself a ransom for all...” (1 Timothy 2:3-6). When the Bible uses male nouns and pronouns (e.g., “man,” “men,” “he”), the context makes it clear whether it is gender-specific: most of the time, it is not...</p>

<p>Our topic for this program – actually, we started last week – but the topic is Islam, and, in particular, the teaching that is out amongst many in the church, and gaining some popularity, is the teaching that the Antichrist will come out of the religion of Islam, and therefore Islamic religious leaders under the Antichrist will rule the world during the seven years of the Great Tribulation, which precedes Christ’s return. And last week and today on the phone is Tommy Ice. Tommy is the executive director of the Pre-Trib Research Center, which produces a newsletter and hosts an annual conference that focuses primarily on biblical prophecy.</p><p><br></p><p>So, Tommy, thanks for re-joining me on Search the Scriptures 24/7.</p>

<p>Even the Christmas story, sung and recited at this time of year, becomes the victim of the increasingly popular kingdom/dominion/reconstruction teachings we have discussed in recent months. Take, for example, the story of the wise men (the Bible doesn’t say there were “three”). Having seen a new star, which they understood signaled the birth of a promised king of Israel, they journeyed to Jerusalem—not because the star led them there (as Christmas songs and stories erroneously say), but because that was where they logically expected a Jewish king to be born. We don't know how they were alerted to watch for the star, but it could have been because of an oral account of Balaam’s prophecy (Numbers 24:17) handed down among Eastern magi.</p>

<p>T.A.: Thanks, Gary. The topic for this program and our next one is Islam, and in particular, a belief that is making its way around evangelical Christianity. <p>This week, well, this is part two of a session with a Bible translator, and this man has translated the Bible into Arabic. And as we mentioned last week, and I encourage you, if you haven’t heard part one, you need to go there, because our guest, Tom – and we’re only using his first name because of the safety factor; Islam, especially terrorism, it can strike anywhere, and we just want to be prudent. We want to deal with this in as safe a way as possible, always looking to the Lord for protection, but the Lord wants us to use our head in this and do things that are…where we don’t get in our own way. Would you say that, Tom?</p><p><br></p>

<p>Last month, we commented upon the anti-Semitism that seems to be increasing…although so far it is directed [primarily] against the nation Israel (denying modern Israel any part in Bible prophecy) and not against Jewish individuals. Of course, scripture indicates quite clearly that the coming millennial manifestation of the kingdom of God is tied very closely to Israel. Thus, to deny Israel that special part in prophecy, and to claim that the church is now Israel, removes foundational points of reference and opens the door to distortion and confusion both as to Israel and the church. The angel Gabriel confirmed the great importance of Israel’s connection to the Millennium when he told Mary that the child to whom she would give birth, who was clearly the promised virgin-born Messiah, “the Son of the Highest,” would reign upon “the throne of His father David...[and] over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there [should] be no end” (Luke 1:30-33).</p><p><br></p><p>The Antichrist, of course, is the counterfeit of the true Christ, and he will establish a kingdom which will be the counterfeit of the true millennial reign of Christ. I have been saying for years that the depiction of the Antichrist in most Christian books and movies as an obviously evil ogre will only help the Antichrist when he comes. He will actually seem to be a man of peace, love, and brotherhood who has only the good of the human race in mind. He will be Satan’s man posing as God’s man, the Antichrist masquerading as the true Christ, and his kingdom will claim for itself the prophecies that God has promised to Israel.</p>

<p>This week and next week we’re going to talk about Bible translations with a man who has been directly involved in translating the Bible. And this will not be a promotion for any Bible in particular, any version, unless you speak Arabic, but we will be discussing things regarding translations that can alter what God has communicated in His Word. The name of the gentleman I’ll be talking with is Tom, and that’s as much personal information about him as I will give you. Why is that? Well, Tom, as I indicated, has been involved in translating the Bible into Arabic, and that in this day of sadly, tragically, widespread Islamic terrorism puts him in harm’s way.
