For what has to be the first time in their history, the Los Angeles Kings have actually landed a big name free agent and we, The Bannermen, have no idea what to do with ourselves. Also, we try not to get too giggly when creating our possible line combinations for the upcoming season and furthermore, try not to wet ourselves with excitement over the Kings potential top power play unit. The NHL off-season is officially underway and The Bannermen are super pumped because it’s one of the best times of the year to be a hockey fan. We discuss rumors surrounding the Los Angeles Kings their desperate search for offense. It’s a long time coming, but in this episode, we rate all the LA Kings goaltenders and defensemen using the star system, because we like movies and the Kings have always had a flair for the dramatics. It’s the one-year anniversary of The Bannermen podcast and what better way to celebrate it than with a new episode!

Episode 21: Fright Knight
The Bannermen turn 21 (episodes) and it may be time to hit the bottle because the Vegas Golden Knights continue to roll in the Stanley Cup Playoffs. We break down our irrational fear of seeing them hoist the Cup and decide which team we’re hitching our wagon to. We also discuss Anze Kopitar’s and Drew Doughty’s chances at major awards while dreaming up ways the Kings can totally rip off the Carolina Hurricanes while they’re completely out of their minds. Finally, will the Edmonton Oilers ever stop living in the past?

Episode 20: Two Angry Men
The Los Angeles Kings’ season is over thanks to a quick four-game sweep at the hands of the Vegas Golden Knights. Naturally, everyone is losing their minds and calling for a complete overhaul of the team, from the coaches to the players to the logo to the jerseys. The Bannermen are here to tell you to relax, kick back and listen to an episode that will bring you back to serenity. Just kidding. We are NOT happy! But for various other reasons.

Episode 19: Ready Playoffs One
Grab your rally towels, put your razors away and monitor your heart rate closely, because the Los Angeles Kings are in the Stanley Cup Playoffs! Their first round opponent? The Vegas Golden Knights… a matchup we all wanted if for nothing else, for the incredible royal and medieval puns that will surely follow after each game. We recap Game 1, why things went the way they did and how the Kings must respond to get back to winning. Also, we discuss Drew Doughty’s hit, his suspension and how it will effect the team in Game 2 and beyond. Also, we take a look at possible playoff matchups for the Kings while fully admitting that the team could still very well miss the playoffs in spectacular fashion. It's Episode 18 and we recorded like Dave Taylor was listening. Serious Podcasting!

Episode 17: Drew Got Served

We also welcome back the illustrious Jeff Carter back to the Kings lineup, and thus, the production of Tyler Toffoli and Tanner Pearson back to the lineup. Also, we talk about Drew Doughty and his life goal of becoming the real world Peter Pan.
