Alabama was just out of gas after the 8 game winning streak and the quick turnaround after the big win on Saturday at Knoxville. Bama loses its first game in the month of March, but time to reset and start a new winning streak on Saturday against Auburn and put the road loss in the rear view mirror. No. 18 Alabama is (now 22-8 overall and 12-5 in SEC after losing to Georgia by 10 pts on the road in Athens 98 to 88. The Bulldogs led for nearly the entire contest, fueled by a standout performance from transfer Kanon Catchings, who scored a career-high 32 points. Georgia used a 12–0 run midway through the first half to establish a double-digit lead they never surrendered as Georgia led 50 to 43 at half and then were able to keep the lead and extend it to 10 pts by the end of the game. While Alabama attempted several second-half rallies, cutting the lead to five points at one stage, they were unable to overcome significant deficits in rebounding and points in the paint.
