Tim Powers discusses Down and Out in Purgatory: The Collected Stories of Tim Powers in Part 1 of a two-part interview. Powers is the author of groundbreaking science fiction and fantasy novels such as The Anubis Gates and On Stranger Tides (which was the basis for the Pirate of the Caribbean movie series entry). He's won two World Fantasy awards and numerous others.
