Dr. O’Brien completed both his Doctorate of Philosophy in Urban Planning/Transportation and his Masters in Planning at University of Southern California (USC). He is also the Associate Director of Long Beach Programs for the METRANS Transportation Center, a partnership of CSULB and USC. He serves on the Boards of the Los Angeles Transportation Club, Harbor Association of Industry and Commerce, and National Transit Institute.
