122. Lean Into the Suck with Rasheed Prescott

Learning to separate your feelings from your responses is a skill worth mastering. This week, as we wrap up the final episode of our 3rd Annual Divine 9 Series, "How Sororities and Fraternities Support Mental Health Awareness," we are joined by Rasheed Prescott, Social Worker at Conservation Corps in Long Beach, California and Gamma Gamma Omega Chapter member of Iota Phi Theta Fraternity, Inc. Rasheed shares how he helps young adults develop transferable skills for employment, while encouraging them to lean in and embrace the 'suck' of life that will inevitably come. Find out how he maintains his mental health and encourages his clients to remember that they are not their mistakes. Rasheed is currently in pursuit of his Bachelor of Business Administration at Morehouse College. Born and raised in the vibrant city of Los Angeles with deep roots in the diverse culture and fast-paced energy of this iconic metropolis, he has dedicated himself to the field of Mental Health since 2007. Rasheed is humbled by the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of individuals and families facing challenges. Guided by empathy and a deep sense of compassion, he strives to provide support, understanding, and resources to those in need.
