Show Notes
Rep. Ritchie Torres, at 25, became New York City's youngest elected official, and the first openly LGBTQ person elected in the Bronx. He currently represents New York’s 15th Congressional District and is a member of the Financial Services Committee and the Select Committee on the Strategic Competition Between the U.S. and the Chinese Communist Party.
Rep. Torres' life personifies the true American success story. It's an inspirational narrative of overcoming socioeconomic, health/mental health and sexuality struggles to great accomplishment at an unprecedented young age. He shares with us his impoverished childhood and his meteoric ascent to the City Council in 2013 and into the United States Congress eight years later. He's been called 'Israel's loudest House supporter' and has become a powerfully outspoken voice against the tidal-wave of antisemitism sweeping across the country. Join us for this incredibly important and moving conversation.
