Filling the Baseball Void with Simulations
Out of the Park is a sophisticated, true-to-life baseball simulator that gives users the ability to take over a franchise as the manager, GM, or both. The Athletic is starting an Out of the Park league, with 30 staff members running teams as both manager and GM. Michael Beller and Derek VanRiper are two of those manager/GMs. They discuss their strategies for running the Cubs (Beller) and Padres (VanRiper), and the joys of baseball simulators in these uncertain times, in this episode of The Athletic Fantasy Baseball Podcast.
